2. Hopscotch: Scratch Similar, Simplified
Since Scratch has not published app version yet, this app is the best alternative on iPad. It is particularly suitable for young users, who have not tried Scratch or other similar programming tools yet, to start with. Hopscotch does not provide "sensing" blocks as in Scratch and the user interaction controls come with figures. However, iPad itself can be used a a sensor - of shaking, tilted (left, right up, down), noise ect, which is superior than Scratch.
It is like a simplified version of Scratch and thus for experienced users it might not be "powerful" enough.
3. Daisy the Dino - Beebot Similar
This app does not only allow users to give commands to the dino, it also provides a category called "Challenge", in which there are some tasks for the young users. This app might be very interesting for Kindergarten children.
